BrellaBuddy

My concept was to make a sustainable, eco-effective umbrella by reducing the complexity of the average umbrella through a new mechanism. After defining this mechanism, I implemented it in the form of a vaguely anthropomorphic figure with six arms and yellow rubber galoshes for a handle. The umbrella is operated through one string to open it and one string to close it. When the string with the raindrop knob is pulled, his arms open up and stretch out a rain repellant fabric. When you pull the sunshine knob, his arms raise up and collapse his fabric, which keeps all the rain to the inside, so you're not rubbing water all over everything. All in all, the BrellaBuddy is sustainability, with personality.
