The BendaBrella is just what its name implies, a bendable umbrella. As a contrast to the modern spoke infested umbrella, the BendaBrella consists of one bendable wire and an easy to store handle. Both parts contribute to an undeniably indestructible unit.

The top and most important part of the BendaBrella is cone in shape with numerous air gaps to prevent the umbrella from flipping inside out. It is made from a lightweight weather resistant fabric that is one hundred percent nylon. The bendable wire that is sewn into the very-most-bottom portion of the BendaBrella allows for the umbrella to fold flat into three smaller circles and holds the shape of the umbrella. This means that the umbrella can fold into one-third its original dimensions. In the BendaBrella's case, the umbrella opens up to a diameter of two feet and collapses to a mere eight inch by eight inch circle which is smaller than a piece of paper.

The handle for the BendaBrella is made of aluminum rods followed by tightly formed aluminum links, which is all covered by highly resistant polyurethane. The aluminum rods allow the handle to shorten for easy storage and the aluminum links give the handle the ability to be manipulated for a more comfortable fit. The polyurethane used is pressure sensitive and has similar qualities to that of memory foam. This gives the handle a very comfy feel in addition to being relaxing on the hands. Polyurethane provides more protection for the internal components of the aluminum rods and links to prevent any internal damage with is impact-absorbing properties. The aluminum rods part of the handle is connected to the top part of the BendaBrella with a spherical knob that is screwed on. This way the umbrella can be separated into its two parts whether it be for changing handles or using another patterned top with the same handle.

Apart from being so easy to store, the BendaBrella is also extremely easy to use. No longer will you have to watch out from poking out a fellow pedestrian's eyes. The BendaBrella has no spokes or other protruding parts which can cause major damage to those around you. The BendaBrella even makes sliding in and out of doors easier. By just flicking up one side of your umbrella, you can enter a building without letting droplets of rain shower you when you're in the process of putting your umbrella away.
