Ella

Meet Ella, the next generation in water management.
This umbrella begins her life as an environmentally responsible product consisting of 40% repurposed polyethylene. A soft solution to shedding water, Ella is a hands-free umbrella devoid of dangerous corners. Contrary to her traditional counterparts, Ella is comprised of a single material. This means that at the end of her life as an umbrella, the user can simply throw the entire product into a recycling bin. Alternatively, the user can also put this product in a mailbox as it is printed with prepaid postage. Ella is than received at a manufacturing facility which then reprocesses the polythene and weaves it into large fog-catching nets. These nets are used in arid, developing countries which lack an abundance of fresh water. The nets are placed on mountain tops where they collect the water from passing clouds.
Ella, who once shed water, now has been repurposed as a method by which to collect it.
