Rain Catcher

This umbrella is made with recuperated textiles, like bathing suits and work out closes. Much alike the structure of a tent, this umbrella is shaped by recycled plastic tubes. Theses structural tubes can also be taken out, to wash the fabrics if ever they got dirty.

The form is spectacular but also has a simple function. A special coat of waterproofing makes the water slip down the surface of the umbrella. Then the water is collected in the handle and can be used for indoor watering plants.

Finally, to fold the umbrella. Remove the handle and fold the structure to the side and squeeze the rim into the handle.

VoilĂ . Hope you enjoy this idea, I had fun designing it.
